Jennifer Polizzi

Jennifer’s experience as a social worker includes working with families, children and teens, couples, and individuals as a therapist and also as a caseworker. She has been married for over 28 years; she and her husband have three young adult children. Jennifer returned to social work after spending time raising children, homeschooling, and caring for elderly family members.

Jennifer works from a Family Systems perspective, using aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and strengths-based therapy to help you deal with issues in your life.

She appreciates that it can be difficult to seek help and works with clients to create an environment that is safe, where trust has been established so that difficult issues can be discussed. It is important that people have a place to be heard, to tell their story, to understand how and why they get stuck, and to have the tools they need to move forward in life.

Jennifer especially enjoys working with couples, finding ways to cope with conflict and move towards more meaningful connections, as well as navigating parenting and family concerns. Raising kids can be intense, and she understands the challenges of handling what life brings our way while taking care of those we love.
